Great American Ball Park – Relief

Great American Ball Park, the home of the Cincinnati Reds opened in March 2003 and is one of the latest ballparks designed by Kansas City based Populous (formerly HOK Sport). The architecture for the new ballpark recalls the past and embraces the warehouse architecture of the turn-of-the-century that once stood this ground. As you approach the main entry of the ballpark the “The Spirit of Baseball” greets you. This 20 feet wide by 50 feet high Indiana limestone bas-relief is meant to inspire the young and old alike with an inscription that reads “Dedicated to the big leaguer in all of us, follow your dreams, never give up”.

Services provided: Design, Design Documentation, Art Director, Project Director for fabrication and installation

Awards:  AIA – Cincinnati – Honor Award, Pinnacle Commercial Exterior Award of Merit – Stone World Magazine & Marble Institute of America
